Red galaxy shrimp, also known as Caridina cantonesis sp, are shrimp with spots on their heads and a striped pattern along their bodies. They can be a good addition to freshwater aquariums.

Grade: The number of facial spots on a galaxy shrimp determines its grade, with more spots being better. 
Lifespan: With proper care, freshwater shrimp can live for 1–2 years. 
Temperature and pH: Red galaxy shrimp prefer a temperature of 68–72° F (20–22.2° C) and a pH of 6.2–6.8. 
Water parameters: Extreme water parameters should be avoided.
Substrates: A buffered substrate is needed to keep the pH level stable. 
Feeding: In the wild, shrimp are scavengers that eat anything they find. You can feed them a lot of things, but it's better to give them the amount they can finish. You can start with a high-quality shrimp food, and add blanched vegetables and frozen foods like bloodworms.
