Peppered corydoras are small, peaceful catfish that can live up to 15 years with proper care. They are light tan to bronze in color with gray patches and specks. They are a popular choice for community and planted aquariums because they are very social and prefer to be kept in groups of four or more.

Peppered corydoras are bottom-dwelling fish that eat most sinking foods. They are compatible with most nano aquarium animals, but may eat dwarf shrimp fry. They are generally safe to keep with adult dwarf shrimp.

Peppered corydoras are easy to breed, and the ideal breeding group for any of these species would consist of two females and four males.

Peppered corydoras should be kept in groups of at least five or more at all times. Many aquarists recommend keeping them in groups of ten or more to reduce stress levels and provide impressive displays of schooling.

Peppered corydoras prefer temperatures between 22°C and 26°C, pH between 6.0 and 7.0, and general hardness between 50 and 100 ppm
