The Julii Cory (Corydoras julii) is a small freshwater catfish native to eastern Brazil. It's also known as the leopard catfish or julii cory. They are nocturnal bottom-dwelling fish that use their sensitive barbels to forage for food. They can rotate their eyes, which gives the impression that the fish is winking.
These fish are peaceful and gregarious, so they should be kept in a school of 4 or more individuals. They are also compatible with most nano aquarium animals, including dwarf cichlids and angelfish.
The Julii Cory is one of the smaller of the corydoras catfish, and only grows to a maximum length of 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) in the home aquarium. They usually live between three to four years in captivity, though it's not uncommon for some to live as long as ten years.
