The L397 Alenquer Tiger Pleco is a wood-eating pleco that rasps biofilm from driftwood. It is 1.25–1.4 inches long.
Characteristics:
Diet
Prefers a vegetarian diet, but can also eat crustaceans and insect larvae. A diet with too much protein and too little vegetarian food can cause problems.
Water conditions
Tolerant of water hardness between 6.4–7.7, with a temperature range of 75.2–86°F (24.0–30.0°C) and a hardness of 2–10 dKH.
Breeding
To encourage breeding, set up a separate breeding tank with hiding places and a spawning site.
Temperament
Peaceful, but males can be quarrelsome over territories and food. Can be aggressive towards other bottom dwellers if there aren't suitable hiding places.
Appearance
Has a dense wormline pattern on its head and vivid orange and black coloration.
